Hy dudes, i read a lot, but i haven't understand some things, about this:

Next week i will have some drum machines and hardware synth to play a little: korg er, elektron machine drum, dave smith evolver etc....

i know that Logic 9 can't operate as SLAVE, so, Logic 9 must set as MASTER (to send midi clock)

All other synths/drummachine, as slave.

Ok, here we go:

1) i'm really noob in MIDI connection so sorry to all for the stupid question, but how i connect all these things to operate in sync ?

i need a midi-usb hub like this: http://www.motu.com/products/midi/lite ?

because my audio card, an Apogee Duet has NO MIDI, so i think that i must buy a midi hub...is it true ?

And if we are in this case, how connect all ? i'm totally newbie about MIDI :-(

2) i read a lot about of latency in these types of settings....so...i will have a lot of headache in this iphotetic setup ? 'cause i read a lot of problems....many many problems.... is it true ? ( i know there are also nice toys like Sync-Lock... 500$ DOH !)

M audio Uno USB to Midi cable. most devices have midi in/out and some have thru.

Midi in on drum machine from puter midi to usb cable. Audio out of drum machine to Duet line in. Play the midi track with its output selected to the Midi device and arm a new track and track the audio of the drum mach back in at same time.

If you want to record Midi data from the drum mach........midi out to puter usb, armed midi track
