Sync'ing 4 tracks

Yes,...

See Page 71-74 in the manual. It requires thorough reading and then to read between the lines. I'm not reading the whole sections or quoting verbatim, but those pages detail setting the FD4 MIDI output signal to MIDI-clock (MTC). Go through those procedures to activate and set frame rate. Then, on Page 74 it details setting the FD4 MIDI section to act as Slave.

So, putting these pages' info together, configure one FD4 to output MTC (as Master) and the other FD4 as Slave. The MIDI connection cable between them, and you should be able to cause one FD4 to chase the other. The Pages 71-74 detail everything you want to know, but nowhere in those pages does it detail "exactly" how to sync one FD4 to another, however all the info is there if you use your creative mind and read a little bit between the lines.

After posting this, when I get a few extra minutes I will read those pages in their entirety.

I know from way back I used a Tascam 564 Minidisc Portastudio as master to sync to an FD4 as slave. That's only because the 564 will not be slave sync, only master. That was during a phase of active recording and experimentation, but it worked as intended.

:spank::eek:;)
