SYNC Error?

Mixing and Mastering.
I am trying to record in SX and when i do it starts for about 2 seconds then an error message comes up. "Audio engine record error: audio engine error: ASIO went out of sync"
Could someone help me. dont know what is wrong. Do i neeed to set up something?
And also, i cant get play back on my .all files from VST. Not sure if the waves are actually there!!?
 
Only time I've seen this it was associated with a virus. Try running some virus detection software.
 
Cheers, i think i might have a virus or two!
But could it not be that my sound card isnt up to it? Not sure exactly what card it is but it is ok for playing videos and music and wavelab.
Could it be becuase it is a demo and there is a virus in the demo or will it be an actuall virus on my computer?

It's probably because it's a demo but I'd still check for a virus. Demos usually have restrictions built into the software.
 
no...not virus...

i have the same problems u have
one or two things i can says is....
tune down ur Buffer size....beacuse ur CPU is running out memory.....
that mostly i think why...it works better when i turn down buffer size.
also...u know Cubase wasn't that stable anyway.....

Isss that right ?

Funny how it works fine for the rest of us..... :rolleyes:

Anyway ecktronic - Cubase was designed to use ASIO drivers. If your not sure what sound card you are using then I would suspect that it's a mobo soundcard and it does not have proper ASIO drivers for it....
 
That is kind of funny since my machine runs Nuendo on average anywhere between 60 to 100 or more hours per week without a hiccup. Maybe its not considered stable until I run it about 140 hours per week?
 
Maybe......... Maybe the cracked version isn't stable ????
