Switching to Macbook

Hey,

Ok, so I've decided to switch over to Macs considering the stability on their systems. Also through word of mouth exposure. I need to decide which macbook to get since i will need it to be portable...

I am running a Mackie Onyx 600F firewire interface and basically everything connects to it..

my budget is approx around 1200, but if you can give me a really good reason to bump it up than i might as well bend my budget a bit..

You'll have to go with a MacBookPro since you're using a Firewire interface. The $999 white MacBook doesn't have Firewire

It's up to you to decide if you need a larger 15" display or not which would blow your $1200 budget.
 
Oh k, and the firewiere chipset on the macbook would support the mackie onyx just fine?

They took them off? How lame. My old macbook has firewire, although it doesn't work now and costs 300 to get fixed. I kind of hate apple.:(
 
I would recommend for you to get a 15'' or even 17'' display. If you can stretch the budget, coz trust me, a 13'' screen full of plugins and a arrangement window and stuff.....REALLY CLOUDED ;)
