Can anyone tell me how to set up a surround sound mixing/monitoring system in my home studio. I have a Presonus Firepod and Eureka on a G4 running Logic Pro 7. The Firepod has 8 direct outs and I was wondering if I could run those into my the 6 channel extention in on my Denon home theater system. Or do I need to buy some other piece of equipment.
Logic Pro 7 should have a selection area in the audio menu that allows you to determine which output on your Firepod is "where" in your surround setup... (ie: left front / left rear / right front / right rear / center forward)
Once you assign the output appropriately - I think the Denon home theatre system should be fine... Be careful however - I'm not sure the Denon is designed to take the output levels from your system... Just be sure not to turn it up too loud...
