Accidentally creating bad music is ok. Intentionally creating bad music but never owning up to it is kind of hilarious. Spreading malware is evil. :D

Hmm. Well Jordan, if you like it, I guess that's what matters. Have we lost site of something we should not have? Is there a wrong way to make music? If this guy is making music, and he feels that it captures what he wants it to, isn't that what it's about? If he is this happy about stuff he has done, and genuinely exited about it, doesn't that matter? Who decided what music is supposed to sound like? Jordan, I am not sure I agree with or like the stuff you record, but I commend you for recording it and not letting people get to you. Do the rest of you know where I am coming from? I appologise.

It's not Jordan's music or his desire to create that is the problem. People are very tolerant of the levels of sophistication, talent, creativity and such on this forum. I know this because I've benefitted from the ongoing support of many for my rather poor efforts.
Anyone who comes in trumpeting their own glories but NOT listening to, accepting advice from, offering support for, OTHERS will cop a caning.
This isn't the pro music world so I don't accept that excellent music covers for poor behavior/people skills/ or an inability to accept and use constructive criticism - NOR DOES LESS THAN EXCELLENT MUSIC FOR THAT MATTER..

I've edited my post - I typed it just home from work & VERY sunburnt & suffering an alergic reaction to sunscreen (both being weekly events) so my brain was obviously fried - sorry.

I think what it's after is that if JD truly didn't care what people thought, he wouldn't keep posting. I think he just wants the attention, and he doesn't seem to know any other way.

It would be one thing if he came at it humbly and said, "look, I'm an amateur and here's what sounds good to me - help me progress." Instead, every week it's another collection of, "this is the greatest thing I've ever exploded out of my brilliant self." That tends to turn people off, especially when the person making the statement sounds like they're sequencing music for the latest Atari game.

I understand that fully now. Very good point. Or maybe he just thinks he is great, and thinks we would all be better off hearing his stuff. I any case, the statement "exploded out of myself" never gets old. :D

you know what.. I think you all are making fun of somebody who just wants to fit in. Im like some people on this thread, when I first started out I was making music just like this. Most of your stuff, in my opinion, will never pass, even with the most obscure music critics, as passable. I really appreciate your apparent passion for your music. But you make everyone, including me, feel a little offended with your cavalier use of the words genius, brilliant or awesome, as we have strived to increase our skills, in music and the recording process.

I remember my first couple posts on this forum, and I was desperate for some constructive criticism from knowledgeable members. You seem to blatantly disregard the advice of accomplished engineers.

While it is your place to post any type of music you want here, it defeats the purpose of posting on the clinic when you are simply posting to post, instead of posting to gain some kind of new knowledge of the recording process.

You may be trying to fuck with everyone, in which case, you have succeeded. But I have heard the music on your myspace and it is all the same. Take constructive criticism or stop posting.

At this point you have become a blatant waste of bandwidth. Stop, or change.

Adamki - he isn't trying to fit in he's trying to stand out THAT'S the difference. he doesn't participate in any significant way except where it relates to his muse & music.

Dude. I actually listened to this all the way through.

I will probably never know if you're joking on some strange post-modern level, or if you actually are convinced of your genius.

But all I know is that on some sick level in my brain, I really genuinely enjoyed this song. I don't know if I'll ever listen to anything else you've done, and I would never buy a cd of this, but there was something really catchy in an obscure way.

It reminds me of chiptunes. Look it up if you don't know. Find a forum dedicated to it. You could be a superstar prodigy to those people.

There have been much more avant garde songs that have been called music.

Edit: To be honest with a little adjustment and less "casio" instrumentation it could be a nice little tune.

zshare is brass, but then when i put it on limelinx, people have even more problems hearing it! any recomendations.

james, i have like 4 or 5 totally distinct styles of music that i make. this is just one! i hadn't done it for years but im back!

you guys scare me sometimes, you are so bent on breaking me down, i dont know! i feel like im on my way to be a secret that you dont want me to have!

hey dont diss on the atari 4 bit bass is pretty amazing stuff actully, but im an 8bit person myself by nature. If you can't say it in 8 bits it proably is better off unsaid and thats the truth
