Suggestions for what I need?

I've stopped recording myself, and decided to invest time in sharpening my producer skills.

So I' looking to start a decent selection of mics, slowly.

I am looking for a mic, that would best suit a mid-high male r&b singer.
His voice is like...a deeper pitched Ginuwine.

I am also looking for a mic, that would best suit a mid voiced male rapper, with a voice somewhat like Kanye West's.

And then a good all around mic, that would work for the widest range of singers.

My budget is $2,000
 
Dan, you scare me.

This reminds me of the two ice cream brothers in the movie "City Slickers". Where Billy Crystal asks for the perfect desert to Sea Bass and asparagus. The answer was, rum raisin.

I have to ask myself, how does he know that?
