Strange person.
I have a 100W, 10" subwoofer that I got for $150 from strathfield 2 years ago. It 2 inputs, 1 is labeled "input 1" and is RCA, 1 is labeled "input 2" and has those "+" and "-" screw thingos to put wire in for both left and righ and the samp for an output labeled "output to speakers"
It also has a volume and a high cut knob that goes from 40Hz to 180Hz.

Would it be possible to use this sub to pick up tha bass a little while monitoring with a set of Samson Resolv 40a

The reason I ask is I'm thinking of buying a set for AU$240

Cheers

yeah, they'll work, you already have it!
and at minimum just use the sub to check out the low end.

my angle is Nearfields were first used to hear the mix on a Average Joe's speaker system.
Auratone=Mono speakers, car radio speakers, lunchbox record players
NS-10's = Stereophonic, HiFi....

the average Joe's system, in 2006, includes a subwoofer.

anything will work if you learn it. this is the main key.

my brothers band just got out of a studio. the studio has been around for fhkng 30years, even done some big names like Slipknot......
the Engineer often had Headphones and Speakers going!! rotty speakers, nothing fancy.
and the equipment was quite old too 2" studer.....
but he knew his equipment inside out and how to make it sound good.
amazing really.
