Rock Steady
I have an m30 mixer. I use the monitor out level to control my foldback in the control room. It is fed by 4 buss submix. In the last week I`ve noticed that when the monitor level control is in the middle position they is no noise, yet to turn it clockwise or counterclockwise the noise level increases exponentially. I have no idea where this noise is coming from right now. Anybody ever seen this?

Typically what your describing is the noise from your channels being added to the noise of the submix bus on top of master bus noise. On some mixers the noise is tolerable and others it is not. Take a look at the schematics and see if the SNR of each of those sections in combination are within spec. It could be 1 of many things.

I appreciate it SoMm, and I`ll look it up in the manual. The odd thing is that it`s never done it before. It`s usually quiet as the moon.
