Stuiod for 5.1 Monitoring

Hi everyone,

I'm going to start building a studio where i want to mix in suround.

My question is: Do all the rules for studio design and acoustic treatment normally appllied to Stereo also aply to 5.1 Monitoring?

I can't find many info on 5.1 Studio design.

My control room has to have width =11.4 feet and lenth= 16 feet

Tiago - go to my Studios Under Construction site http://johnlsayers.com/Studio/index.htm and check out Guruland and Joe Egan's studios. They are both 5:1 surround and both have plans.
