AT pro 25 is nice on floor toms. and cheap. Not a good all around mic like the ATM25, but does amazinly well on floor toms.

Agreed! They've been discontinued, so it might be difficult to track down a new one. They're pretty durable, so it would be worth buying a used one for $30-40 or so.

The newly updated Studio Projects B1 (with the built-in pads) would be a good inexpensive choice as well. It would also be a lot more versatile than the Pro25 in the long run.
