Crimson..... I see you haven't updated anything with this project in awhile (forgive me if im wrong) I was wondering was language you were doing this in ,if its a language I amn familiar with I would be happy toa either help or take over the project (depending on if you are still interested in this) Randy5235
Well, it's being developed in a tool called WinDev. I don't think it has any fame over there as it's a European product. It's quite expensive too (for a programming tool), around 1600 Euro per user-license. I have three licenses running in my company.

Although I didn't post for a while, I'm still working on it every now and then, so it's coming along nicely. Just be patient, it will be worth it as it's going to be a commercial grade application completely for free ;)

hey spacedye

Where in Long Island are you at? I'm in Brooklyn. Nice to see a fellow New Yorker on these boards...

Hey Spacedye... I believe "Alan" is from plainview L.I. as well. I'm not sure how often he posts here, but he's very respected over at audioforums.com. You should register yourself over at Audioforums.com! There's another wonderful community of fellow homereccer's going on over there. Some of the guys really know their stuff!

In case anyone was curious....

I have two cats: Cora and Big Uncle Al.

They're not allowed in my studio.

lol.

I run a very small sales office and I use Outlook for all my general contact info and dated journal notes. You can also associate any type of file with a contact. It's a good way to keep Word docs and emails associated with the right people. You could even scan docs and store them there. If you want to see session notes or contracts for a customer you just pull them up and look through the different categories of docs that you have setup. You might even be able to store archives of .wav files in there but I haven't tried that. Huge files may be an issue.

We use Money for all the accounting. You can export a new contact from Outlook and just import it into Money to save on retyping the info. Then in Money you can print your invoices and pay bills, etc.

I use Excell to create any custom forms that we use. You could use that to create all your session notes. You could even print them, fill it out by hand while working, then scan it and store it in Outlook. Or just type up the info on the computer and keep it all in Excell format.

I sometimes use my cats tail as a dustmop, he doesnt enjoy it very much though.:) :D
