Hi - I'm new here,

I have had a setup in my bedroom for awhile, but I've run out of room in here.
I've had a few of my Father's equipment, but I've grown tired of hearing about the stuff being returned to his room.

I picked up a Casio SK-1 sampling keyboard. I want to move a simple setup into our attic.

What's a good battery powered mixer & audio recorder I can buy?

Besides the sampling keyboard, what equipment do you have? (Mics, monitors, etc)
What type of music are you going to be recording?
How many inputs do you expect to record at one time?
Attics are notoriously hot in the summer and cold in the winter, neither is good for instruments.

Yeah I just remember our attic last summer... Yeah your right it's hot.

Besides the SK-1 I have an Ensoniq ESQ-1 synth/keyboard. I also have a cardioid generic mic (which even though cheap has made some good vocal recordings). Whats a good insulator for a simple L shaped baffle that I could use in my room?
