Eight-year-olds aren't nearly that rude and disrespectful. They're catered to, but they don't realize that they're catered to. This guy thinks he's owed the answers so he can use his (okay, probably "non-Kosher") software and cheapie USB mic to get a "professional sound" when he probably doesn't understand which end to point at the source.

Sigh. Threads like this sometimes make me WISH it was as easy as one stock set of presets and plugins that I could put on anything to make it sound "pro." :/ Like it wouldn't matter how well it was tracked and performed, you just loaded up the special "pro sound" VST and bam, you had an awesome recording.

I'd like to say I'd have gotten bored ages ago if it was that easy, but that's probably a lie.

FL Studio (Fruity Loops) comes with a "Soundgoodizer" plugin... Try it; it's very magical.

From http://flstudio.image-line.com/help/html/plugins/Soundgoodizer.htm:
The knob - Blends from left to right from Soungoodizing 0% (bad) to 100% (good). Turn the knob to the level that sounds goodest.

With Pro Tools, you don't even need the plug-in. The algorithms are already programmed into the software..

That's why Pro Tools sounds better than any other DAW.

EDIT: Also, did you see this line?

"The Soundgoodizer 'big knob' controls the same parameter as the LMH mix knob on Maximus, that is, the mix between plugin input & LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH compressor output."

Aww man!!

I should have listened to my pet fish when he told me that Pro Tools was the best.

Ah, lay off the loops, man!

...and I quote:

"Soundgooodizer is a stereo 'maximizer-enhancer' plugin based on the Maximus soundprocess engine. Soundgoodizer has been fully endorsed by famous people with really big egos ears - It's shiny, it's good!"
