I had a look for those links amongst the distressing dross of this thread, but couldn't fine them.
I'd like to check them out, can you let me know where they are
thanks
Here they all are:
Spoonfed Tribe
The vocals were all done with the Studio Projects T3 mic. Alex said the drums were recorded with our MXL's.

Advent
(That's
the Studio Project T3 on vocals.)

(The MXL V69ME handled all the vocal chores.)

Up The Creek
Not the world's greatest bluegrass band, but they did ok on this song.
MXL 603's on all instuments, except bass. I had the ECM8000 pointed down towards the floor, about a foot out from the bass, with the tip of the mic about even with the neck/body joint. It started out as a talkback mic (since I was close miking everything else to reduce bleed), but the bass sounded so good on the ECM8000, I decided to track with it.

Here's a recording I did at the San Francisco AES show to show off Brauner's new mic. This was recorded directly into an HHB CD recorder - no eq, no effects. Of course, having
Rick Ruskin playing guitar didn't hurt non either. Straight recording, no punch-ins, no overdubs.

Barbara Dane. Had her sitting next to me at the console singing into an MXL V77. Sax was into a Shure SM7, set up as a talkback mic. Bass and keyboards going direct. Some effects, but not much (if any) eq.
BTW, she just celebrated her 75th birthday last year. This was recorded when she was 71 or 72.

Here's a few minutes of a club demo. These songs are all copyright protected, BUT because I'm posting only snippets of them, purely for educational purposes, I don't think I'm in violation of the copyrights.
All the vocals were recorded using a stock, unmodified, MXL V67G.
