Studio Projects Sucks!

It must be awsome to have a father son duo doing what we all call "fun", recording. Of course there would be down sides, but fun non the less. Harvey tell your son to stop by to the forums someday, unless he is already here.

I got him chained down in Studio A. Actually, we get along pretty damn well.

Here's a couple more he produced:

Advent

(That's the Studio Project T3 on vocals.)

The Feds
Go to: http://www.myspace.com/thefeds and click on "Saturday Girl"

(The MXL V69ME handled all the vocal chores.)

I realize that this is showing off my son Alex more than me, but I am proud of him. I recorded a pretty good band Monday and I'll be mixing them today, so I'll try to post some clips later. All vocals were done with the MXL V67.

Thanks Harvey, 60's guy and Supercreep for posting links, everybody keep them coming. What a way to turn this ridiculous thread around, and notice that recordingpro hasn't been game enough to comment once the hard evidence has started to come throgh.

+1 on that.

And Harvey - may I say you are like an anagram of Alec Guiness - Genuine Class. I think we all could learn something from your tact here.

I had to get some sleep dumb ass was up all night tracking a band

More excuses! Recordingpro is just mad because he sucks at recording studio projects and that's why he hates anything with that name. :D

Man listening to Harveys recordings show what can be recorded without the multi$K mics. Then again, they're in the hands of the master. I remember when I was a kid, my first guitar was a cheap Kay $25.00 electric. It sounded terrible. A friend of the family who was an accomplished guitar player picked it up and to me, that cheap guitar sounded amazing (with him playing it). That cheap guitar was in the hands of the master. You could probably give Harvey an Astatic cyrstal mic and with his knowlege and talent would make it sound good.

Keep in mind that those tracks were recorded in what used to be a small 11' by 11' bedroom, in an old mobile home (with a 7' ceiling).

I used office cubicle dividers (rescued from an office building dumpster) hung on the walls to provide some absorption. The carpeting on the front wall and the doors was also rescued from some hotel dumpsters.

This is the sort of thing that gives me hope. Thanks Harvey, for this and everything else.

You can always tell a pro. It's someone who shares his knowlege without expecting anything in return. Someone who shares the best that can be done with what you have. I think it is great to give insperation and hope that fuels creativity to ALL of us, no matter what gear we use

On the other hand someone that knocks what we have, and with a foul mouth, showing gear, expecting people to droole, isn't fooling anyone but himself. "out of the mouth speaks the abundence of the heart" If the same energy used to fuel this strife were put to contributing ideas we could use with what we have, we would all be better off.

"they" meaning "he" just to clarify, don't want any negitives!!!!

a little off subject but I would LOVE to spend just a day with anyone who ever produced Jethro Tull's albums, I think they are wonderfully put together.

hey shite for brains - I was asked to put the photos up - i would have rathered not. and since everybody has been so busy flaming and spewing their mucous - it became completely clear that no amount of photos, music or any other "proof" would be beneficial to the deaf and blind.

This translates to: "There was a cricket and a mouse in the corner that kept me awake all night. I had to turn on my reel to reel to drown out the noise."

Stop posting here. Just stop. You're not helpful and you're just getting laughed at.

You have no credibility here and you never will because you're a complete ass hat. I rarely even post here and will always have more rep than you, simply for the fact alone that I don't like you.

And know that whatever insult you manage to take 20 minutes to come up with (because you're obviously an idiot) to throw back makes absolutley no difference. I don't care what you think and neither does anyone here.

:p
