dude....about three pages of this thread peeps have been asking you to post a place where we can hear, see, or for you to prove your claims and you havent done so......so as far as me or anyone goes, even if sp mics sucked ass in the opinion of the whole forums, your opinion still wouldnt matter...why dont you put your pics or website where your mouth is and prove your claim

It is funny that you're talking about me using cheap $49 mics right now. I just finished converting a wav file to an mp3 of a bluegrass band I recorded a couple of years ago.

I used MXL 603's on all the instruments, except for the upright bass, where I used a $35 Behringer ECM-8000. Turned out pretty well.

Hey, Harvey, is that mp3 posted anywhere I can here it? And do you remember the technique you used on the upright? As both an upright owner and an ECM8000 owner I would be greatly interested in hearing it.

And I agree with someone back there (sorry, I forget who and I'm too lazy too look it up) in that 'recordingpro' is trying to bait people. I understand he's a master at it... ;)

On the same thread, I asked for a list of CDs that you recorded, and that when you publish that list, that I'd go out and buy the CDs so that I can hear what good mics and pres sound like.

The CD money is burning a hole in my pocket!

What are the names of the CDs and artists that you've recorded? Maybe I've worked with some of the same artists myself, and we could compare notes...

If that weren't true, why would he be so intent on pushing his views on everyone else here? I cannot imagine a real pro doing such a thing, or even caring enough or having the time to do so......

I'm VERY relaxed... it's my nature. I, as are many other people here, are watching this thing play out.

Before DJL got banned, a very similar thing took place. We also asked him to post a song, or links to some songs, or some type of verifiable proof that he was the great engineer that he said he was. We never saw or heard DJL's proof either. ;)

talk about tripe, recordingpro, did you remember where your posting? HOMErecording.com. very few us us are pros, very few, those "cheap chinese sh-t" your talking about are great for home guys who for the most part are not making pro recordings for people, some are, but they are good enough to make them sound good. I don't listen when I hear "this mic sounds like a mic 3X-10X it's price, I'm using it more often than my Neumans....dorf....dorf". Whatever, but they are good for US. If this wasn't the case this website would be called prorecording.com. Or as you said it before, gearsluts.com, so just go hang out there if you are such a purist prick that you can't look at anything that has a cheap price on it. For guys like me, it sounds ok, it does the job better than others in that price range, and until this place changes it's name to something with the word pro in it, it deserves a place here, unlike you.
