Is the Roland Vm-3100pro & R-bus compatible with other recording software, or just Logic? How much processor do I need to record with Roland/Logic? Is a Pentium II enough? We have a VSR-880. Can it be synced up with Logic to give us more tracks?
 
You can use any software. They just give you templates for logic and sonar (maybe others, not sure) but you could probably find more on the internet. The only difficulty would be manually setting it up for remote transport control.

What speed is your P2? I would say that any will work, its more a matter of how many tracks you get with your software.

I am not familliar with your multi track but if it can slave or master than you can sync it.
