Hey all, today was the release day for my debut album (I'm a senior in highschool so the quality is great for my experience I guess...this weekend I have a coupon that gets me 50$ off of a purchase at Sam Ash of 199$ or more, and with the money I've made off of my CD I am going to invest in a nice pair of monitors..right now I'm working on some cheap speakers, ha...

If you guys can tell me some great monitors I should look into in the price range of 200-400$, that would be great...and explain some of the general basics of what I should know, I appreciate it! --

Congrats on the album. I have Event PS6 and I'd recommend the TR6.

In that price range I suggest a used pair of Alesis Monitor Ones (the old grey ones) on eBay. With an amp you're probably talking $250. Really not bad speakers.
