guys I know this topic has been touched many times, but maybe there is some new speakers that came out and nobody talked about them... I need to buy new speakers, mainly for HIP HOP production...So they need to handle LOWS pretty well.. out of what I've seen I like..

Event TR6 Biamped Tuned Reference Studio Monitors
Behringer B2031A Truth Active Monitors
Wharfedale DP8.2A Diamond Pro Active Monitors

any opinions on those, and maybe any other speakers I should go and see.??

Take a serious look at some Event 20/20bas monitors. I love em and a buddy of mine that does a lot of major hip hop records loves them for mixing rap records.

I agree I have a pair of the 20/20 passive and a pair of Event PS-6 in my stuidio. I know there are better monitors but they are great for me, I record Hip Hop, R&B, jazz, blues, and rock music. ;)

I record mostly hiphop and the TR-6's work pretty well for me.

Wharfedales with no Sub or big speakers to check the lows are pretty much useless when it comes to hip hop lows in my room anyway. Its a shitty room at that...

KRK's all he way......Check out the RP8's if you get a chance. They go for like $500 a set BUT you could find them cheaper, the sound/value is fantastic...Forget the Behringers, jus my opinion.I really do like Behringer stuff, jus not the monitors...
