The Idea of bringing the "sound" (s) that are produced using onboard affects , room simulation and looping on my multi-track recorder (MRS-820 CD) on the road is compelling to me. I only own a relatively small amplifier (Crate 212) and a few stomp boxes. I`ve always simply played clean w/ a liitle chorus and reverb or played with the overdrive my amps have offered, changed tones using my pick-up switch, volume and/or tone pots on my strat. When I first starting messing around with the onboard effects on the MRS-820, It woke up my imagination.
OK, anyone who uses a multi-track for "live" playing:
What do you use for amplification and speakers?

Is an amped set of speakers better than powered studio monitors?

I have an old QSC A2150 power amp, could this be of any use for what I`m trying to accomplish?

Thank You, HoeBowlontheHill@aol.com

In short, DON'T use that amp -

A. It's mono

B. It's for transformer equipped 70v speakers.

C. It could be dangerous to regular speakers.

That amp is more of a "paging system" amp for buildings with very long speaker runs (up to several hundred feet) and isn't made for regular speakers and/or hi-fidelity audio.
