Studio desk size

I’ve discovered I will be building a room in my basement roughly 11’x 14’ and I need helpful information regarding what size table/desk I need, first I won’t have a mixer just a 61 key controller about 35”my 2 screens are really wide and curved mounted on arms clamped to the back of my current desk and my monitors’ tweeters ear the same height also clamped to my current “table” 110” inches wide 32” depth and the distances between them and my ears is near perfect but I am stuck putting this table against the wall and have a furnace, chimney, water heater to my back. Now I have an option to build a room and my thoughts are to build it the size best suited for a studio desk. My question is, if I’m a producer not a mixer how wide should desk be? I’m using the Arturia keylab 61 that has encoders, sliders and pads of which can replace control surfaces, drum machines etc

You know this better than us? I built one for a studio where I actually built the desk to the keyboard (a Kontakt 61). I added in the typing keyboards below it, with just enough space for trackballs, not mouses. Then I chose the monitors to overhang just enough. It worked perfectly. Then one monitor died, the other re-allocated and two new ones bought that spread a little more, eating into the speaker space behind. A little bit of LF cone coverage, but it didn't impact the sound very much. The space for the right hand side mouse was making me stretch just a little too much, but the chiro is sorting the resultant aches and pains. I dropped the broken monitor on the Kontakt keyboard and snapped a key. None of my other 61 keyboards fit - one too deep, one too wide, so I probably have to buy an new identical one - but to be honest, the 61 was great but the 88 would have been much better for what I do - the 61 note means I do NOT have the keyswitches and high notes at the same time!.

I was very pleased with my custom built, multi level desk, but I should have designed it differently.
