Strange thing

HI,
I have a Jazz bass. I opened it up with the intention of replacing my pick-ups to the seymour duncan pair I've bought. The pots on the bass are all 500, the schematics that came with the SD pick-ups say 250 (which I myself though would have been in there).

What are the implications of having the 500's in the guitar instaed of the 250 with regard to the sound and also the pick-ups I am replacing?

500's will work fine. They won't affect the tonal characteristics of the pickups at all. The only difference between the 500's and the 250's is you may have to rotate the volume control further before the volume actually starts to decrease.
