I'm thinking of chopping my Hammond C3.

If ...and only if....you remove the guts, and preserve the case, as long as it can be put back to original, you might have a valid idea.

also, are you planning on hauling a leslie cabinet around too? that's something else to consider. i'd keep the c3 and save up the $$ for a clone.
