Howdy.

For the life of me I can't figure out if Steven Slate EX has a programming stand alone option.

The youtube vids show something else triggering... Steven's site really doesn't go into details.

I'm looking for something to use like a drum machine ----- Verse (pattern 1 looped), chorus (pattern 2 looped) .. bridge (pattern 3 looped) .. I'd then hand trigger fills.

Will be operating in Reaper.

The Steven Slate Drums library comes as instruments which drop into Kontakt Player (a virtual instrument shell thing by NI).

The Kontakt Player VSTi (or RTAS/AU equivalent) is installed along with the sample library.

You load up an instance of Kontakt within your DAW/sequencer/host, set up your drums within in, then route your MIDI through it.

Where the MIDI comes from is up to you... live, sequenced... it depends on what you host it in and how you set it up.

I don't have experience with looping and triggering different MIDI sequences, but I'm fairly sure its possible.
