Stereo Pair?

I am looking at the MXL 993 pair, any other suggestions for a pair that is good for this price? I hear good things about MXL. If you haven't heard these mics personally, is MXL reputable enough to trust I would get pretty good results?

MXL mics will do the job. Every mic will record potentially great tracks. However, the real question is what's the best bang for the buck. Some MXL mics are guarunteed bang for buck mics - the 603, the V67 - Are the 993's? that's a valid question, and I don't have experience with those mics to tell you. Hope I've helped at least a little.
