Hi
Im buying a new monitoring system and Im looking into the Genelec range, mainly cos I have used the 1029´s quite a bit in the past. The new 8000 series sounded real sweet!
My dilemma is as follows. Should I get the 8020A's with the 7050 sub, or a pair of 8030A's?
Im wondering witch setup is better for mixing. With the sub I'll get down to 25Hz, whereas the 8030's only go down to 58Hz. But is it "safer" in terms of sound reliability to mix without a sub. In the case of the 8020A´s the sub would be handling everything down from 66Hz, and Im wondering how well my mixes would translate into normal stereo sets..
sorry if this is all a bit confusing, but you get the point?
