ok, so here's my problem:

i wanna record mostly with clean stereo delay from my zoom player 2020 and later go into distortion and at one point have a delay trail off of a heavy chorus into the clean guitar with the delay. should i mike up two amps and record two track simultaneously or is there a better way?

oh yeah i'm a bit of a poor student, so expensive ideas probably aren't a good idea. as for recording, i've only got a potra 02, a computer with a poor soundcard just about running cool edit and one samson s12, and one computer mic. i'm using a squier telecaster though(!)

anyway, if anyone can provide help i'd be very grateful, cheers.

I can only speak to one part of your problem:it's been my experience that delay always sounds better after distortion, not before.Distortion tends to make the delay seem louder and obviously less distinct. The sound is more intelligible when distortion precedes delay.Cheers!
