When the Alan/spamming issues were hot news, both the moderator of this forum and the site admin., made the decision that Alan wasn't spamming.............but that hasn't stopped some people.

And as a perfect illustration DJL posts this gem....................."Some of the products have had problems also... like bad noise, shockmounts, and etc, etc... but, most likey no worst than any other cheap budget mics. Do a search and you find out more about it.".......................when he knows damned well that problems have been both minor and few and far between AND that PMI bend over backwards to ensure any issues are fixed ASAP.

I wouldn't call the mics with bad eternal shock mounts that 797 Audio/Studio Projects made a minor problem... and there were a whole slew of them.

Anyway, I was just answering johneeeveee question.

Can you define "a whole slew"?

And then provide proof of your claim?

Just wondering.

Yes, I can. Would you like me to do that for you or would you like to drop it?

How could you possible prove that? Do you have access to Studio Projects customer service database (if such a thing exists)?

I 'd certainly be interested to hear your definition of "a whole slew".

This was the core of johneeeveee's question......."and am just wondering what all the rants are about" and the accurate answer was provided by crazydoc, so DJ, you weren't and didn't answer the question. As in the past, you posted something which at best was a half truth and had nothing to do with the original and long running issues surrounding Alan Hyatt and PMI here on this forum.

Ok, but for the record I really don't want to get into it... but, sense you all insist, here it is...

797 Audio in China who makes the Studio Projects mics for PMI sent a whole shippment (and a cargo container is a whole shew of mics) stright from China to the UK with bad internal shock mounts. PMI did not do a quality control inpsection and the mics hit the market with bad shock mounts. The proof about this was posted on this mic forum and all you have to do is do a search if you want proof.

And that ladies and gentlemen would be incorrect information.

C'mon bigmouth........how about details to back yourself up, not a generalisation.

Justin, please stay out of this until we have had our amusement with the troll.

This post is a classic example of what crazydoc was talking about...that some folks just can't help lying in wait for an opportunity to post hyperbole disguised as truth...even when there is no proof for their assertions. Pretty sad really.

Anyway, I was just answering johneeeveee question.
Yeah...right:rolleyes:

No, but you should let those who don't know who you are, know that you are speaking in behalf of PMI, don't you think?

And if you'd care to tell "what's incorrect" I'm sure there are some who would like to know.

Could you become any more stupid than you already are?

Look at the little box just to the left of his post, asswipe.

DJL

You really are a dumb shit!!!

First you make an accusation like that, but won't back it up with any details or proof, then you make that comment to JH..................FFS look under his name on his posts......IT SAYS PMI.

First, YOU haven't given any PROOF of your claim.

DJL, you're really quite an odd person. It's like in your world people are guilty until proven innocent. Evidently, anyone can level a baseless charge with no proof and the accused have to prove themselves innocent. In fact, you have consistently done this over and over again, aiming at PMI et al. This is a very odd version of the world.

The old folks were right...familiarity really does breed contempt.

<snip>

As you know, we had a little hitch with the internal suspension system. That unfortunately was a manufacturing defect that did not get picked up on test. The reason it did not is we test mics clipped into the mount or clip and shoot it with sound, then we test with measuring equipment, so the mic does not move during the test.

Alan Hyatt

Now you lazy bastards, can find the post that shows the mics were shipped stright from China to UK yourself.

Let's do a little math here.

I've got a C1, so let's figure the B1 box is the same size that mine is-13"x9"x5"...total cubic volume of 585 cubic inches.

An ocean container is 48 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 7 feet tall. That's 576"x96"x84"...total cubic volume of 4,644,864 cubic inches.

A little math indicates that a single container can hold approximately 7900 B1 mics.

Can you verify that over 7000 B1's had defective shock mounts?

I've heard about 2 or 3 on this forum...where are the other 6997?

And before you tell me to search the board, I already did that. Performed a search on "Studio Projects B1*". Found 1 thread about a mic out of warranty that Alan fixed for free, and 2 about mics with bad shock mounts. So there's 3 total.

That sounds like a REALLY small container. More like a box.
