Anyone had a chance to check out Nuendo yet? I need some opinions on it, I'm thinking of going that route. Its certainly a feature packed well written program, according to all the reviews. Its being called the open-hardware Protools. It makes DVD and everything.
Also, what is Northpole?

I've been using Nuendo for a few months now. Very impressed with it. I used Cubase VST for a year before and the main advantages Nuendo has over Cubase (at least the version I was using VST 3.7)

- Unlimited Undo's
- Better integrated editing features.
- Loads of right click funtionality
- Automation better implemented.
- The audio pool actually works. Very easy to keep track of data that is not in use, and zap it in one easy step freeing up hard drive space.
- Managing tracks and groups very customizable.

Many other features I'm skimming the surface here. Little things like - when you give a track a name in the arrange window, it also names the fader on the mixer etc.

IMO it's the best software multitracker out there.

Don't know what Northpole is...
