Static

I am getting a high humming noise or static on my recording. (only speech) I have also noticed that when I have my speakers turned up for playback and move the mouse a static-like noise comes through the speakers with every move. What could be the problem?

AAaaahhh!!! I just had that problem a couple of weeks ago (there's a post around here somewhere). Unfortunately, I never found out what it was - my new system arrived, and the problem (obviously) didn't exist after installing the card on the new system. I'm very curious to find out the answer to this because I've seen it before ...just can't remember what it was.
