Nice job! I like the mix - well beyond my skills at this point, but I hope to get there someday.

I see what you mean about the vocal -- that really is squished. I'm following you on the lead vocal (maybe pull back a little :) ), but how about loosening up on the BG vocals?
 
Had a listen on headphones and other speakers and I need to remix a few things. Im gonna post that mix hopefully by tonight. The right guitar is to loud and the kick needs help. And I'll use the other vocal take (without so much compression). Thanks for the listen.
 
I don't find compressed vocals inappropriate. The mix is highs-saturated tho, my ears keep on whistling even after the end of the song!
 
Remixed it. Less compression on the vocals and the right channel quitar was too loud. Also raised kick in the 240hz range. Sounds better now. The 1st I posted would make the ears bleed. :)
 
Sounds cool. I don't know this song, so I have nothing to compare it to. I think I'd like a little less vocal squashing though. Overall sounds good. :)

Thanks Greg_L . Are the highs still too much ? The vocals on the first mix were really compressed. The latest is alot less, but still alot. I actually posted this on the bands actual web site for them to listen too.
