Starting from scratch on Reason 3.0

I have no idea where to start making beats. I have the demo, now what, lol? I will be buying a midi controller for my keyboard pretty soon, I have a SM57 (I'm hoping to buy soon), and a Behringer UB1002. Can you guys point me in the direction of some good tutorials, beginner guides, etc. Taking into the consideration the fact that I know nothing and am a baby in this, where should I begin? Not trying to sound like a pest or brat, but I'm ready to start this long process they call "learning" . I desire to make beats for a lot of spoken word poetry type projects and knowing how and being able to put together hip hop beats would be nice. It will all come together as I learn, I suppose.

i could type some long drawn out explination about the modules but dude theres alot.all i can say is as easy as reason is to use it can get as complex as you want it to.

best advice is read the books honestly.
you can get them at barnes & noble,borders etc. i saw them at guitar center to.

yeah, reason can make some real high quality stuff, but it's all about what you do with it. 3.0 offers some new feature that make it much easier, and it's a great program. Fiddle around with it, learn what everything do, read, read, read...
