sweet. That looks awesome. Do you have a digital camera? I expect lots of construction pics.

Did somebody say pics?!?!?!?

Here is the old CR. The desk is on the left wall in the diagram above. It's kinda messy, I was getting everything out of the room besides the actual desk....

They are sitting on the bottom half of the bass trap/soffits. The bottom half will be a bass trap. Stay tuned, I will have more pics soon, and it will make more sense.....

It's not good to run your computer with the side panel off. The ventilation is engineered to work best sucking through the right places instead of through the gaping hole.

Otherwise, s'cool.

Well, I have a fanless computer, so it really don't matter. ;)

It has no fans at all? I mean, I know you can put a big honking heat sink on a processor and get a fanless power supply. But video cards and HDDs generate alot of heat, too.

Hey, I'm a luddite. My crap is far from cutting edge. that's why I try to manage heat - so my stuff will last a long time.

The normal case exhaust fan usually serves to suck outside air past the hard disks to keep them cool. The computer under your desk in the first photo looks like a standard PC. I was just guessing that it was conventional.

My PC has a fan on the CPU 2 little ones on the drive bay and one big one that exhausts the case. I don't record vocals 2 feet away from it, of course, but I never thought it was that big of a deal.

I'm not busting you balls or anything. You just see alot of folks leaving the side open on their PC thinking it makes it cooler inside.

Top half of the traps/soffit are in. I'm going to put 2" 703 in between the two halves which will put them 1/2 from the ceiling.

My trip to Lowe's.

Got a $500 custom 36" door for $100. Whoo Hoo! :D Two sheets of Birch Plywood for the front of the soffits, lights for my "cloud", a bunch of 2x4's, and some 5/8" rock.
