Hello again... sorry for being so darn annoying...

Im trying to make a one man band type thing... its "noisecore" so sound and quality isnt that big of a deal... i just need to record my vocals. druming. and bass to one tape. since i cant play drums sing and play bass all at once...

Just needing to know what types of things i need... cheap is great no digital no softwear if possible... just a quick short list nothing special...

Thanks again
chris

- Tascam Portastudio 424mkIII - 4 track analog recorder

- Shure SM57 mic

- good mic stand & cable, & pop filter

- quality cassettes

When you are ready to expand:

- TC M300 outboard effects unit (reverb, compression, delay, etc)

- Maudio DMP3 outboard mic preamp/instrument DI box

- Studio Projects B1 large diaphragm condenser mic

- CD burner if necessary

That could keep you busy for quite a while.

That is just about the best list I have seen. Absolutely exactly what you need.

Now, if you have a little more bread, you could replace the portastudio with a newer one that has a cd burner built in.

Look to ebay.

Tascam Portastudio ($100 - $200)

All kinds of options. BTW do not pay for a users manual. They are available at the websites for free.

Shure SM57 mic - This is a really nice mic that should run you $60-75. Might want to just get a new one for $79.

good mic stand & cable, & pop filter ($35 total)
