Start and end Points (Yamaha AW16G)

We have recently completed a mixdown of our tracks and attempted to write them to CD-RW. All went well except for the fact that the start and end points we had set up for the song appear not to work.

When written onto the CD-RW the tracks still have click tracks at the beginning (From our drum machine) and sometimes carry on past set end points (where there is data after the set end point).

We're fairly sure we are missing something surprisingly obvious! Any ideas anyone??!

I think you will need to set points a/b on the stereo track before you burn
it to disc.
 
Do you think so? I wondered about that, but I can't see the point of having Start and END points if that the case?

If all else fails I'll give it a go. :

Well,I could be wrong.I use the aw4416 and I seem to recall a similar issue.
Your best bet would be to set locate markers and then edit out the parts
you dont want.But even after you make those edits,You will have to set
points a/b to avoid a long silence at the beginning.(on the stereo trk as
well.)
To be honest,I have not used mine in a while(to busy doing live stuff)and
they are different machines but,hope that helps some.
 
The more I think about it the more sure I am that you're right. I'll give it a go and see what happens...
