A few years ago I bought a Stagg MC07W condensor mic & didn't really use it much (my crappy Roland 8 track didn't have phantom power).
Then just recently I bought a Yamaha AW16G desk & I've begun using it again.
It sounds great! Very warm & responsive - esp. with vocals.
I'd like to know a bit more about it though, and I can't find any reviews of it anywhere on the web.
I've heard that Stagg mics are cheap Neumann copies made in China, I've also heard that they're made in Belgium under licence from reputable companies - for all I know they're made on the moon by acid-crazed pygmies...
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Given that all the Lunar pygmies emigrated to Mars eons ago, and given also that we Europeans rarely work for peanuts; which do you think is more likely? ;)

...they only THINK they emigrated, though - they're blasting some strong shit up there.
Seriously, I've no idea. I thought someone might be able to, y'know, help

Wow!

I cannot figure out which country you're in from your website. But rest assured, any condenser mic made in Europe by Europeans would NOT cost less than $900.

And certainly not less than a hundred

Thanks.
Believe it or not, I've trawled extensively through the web looking for info on these things without much success. Even Staggs' own site lists nothing beyond specs & a pic.
Mark7 - UK btw.

Okay. I thought you might have been the Dave Keegan who used to be in the Shop Assistants.
