Just woke up!

How appropriate - it's 0630 here and this is the first music to hit my ears today. Drums rock, man - very realistic and mixed just right for me. I dig the verb on the solo - I think Roy Buchanan washed a few solos like that, too. I wouldn't want it on every track of a CD but it's definitely a 'color' added. Cool, convincing vocal. Hope the neighbors can appreciate it at this hour 'cause I got this one cranked! Gotta go to the job now but I'll be reprising this one throughout the day! Cool groove, dude!

Nice one man. I'm with Milan...I liked the washed out solo, but it would bug me if the whole CD was like that. Loving the tone of the rhythm guitar too. The vocal is cutting through nicely too. It's not very loud in volume, but it doesn't need to be because the frequencies are just right to cut through the guitars. There aren't a lot of low-mids there to clash with the guitars.
Good tune.

Yup,

Muddy Rivers ....I meant Waters....I always say that when listening to blues and ...er ....um...eating liver...yeah that's it. Anyway .... Your music is great.... It still sounds live....

Love the old school blues club feel. Nice. This is nice all around IMO. I like the way you addressed the vocals. Fits for this tune. Guitar tones were nicely chosen and mixed. I really liked the drum sounds except the hi-hat being too loud and maybe some of those cymbal crashes. I think your verb choices were nice and fitting all around.

Great job Heavy!

MC Gitarz Funny you should mention Roy Buchanan, he was my hero since I was about 12 and I saw a PBS documentary about him. I don't even think he was a recording artist at the time. There was a lot of focus on his stage work and the intensity of his style still slays me. He was unique to say the least.

SLuiCe I was told by some ears I respect do deal with the mids in the vocal, I guess they were right! Thanks for listening:)

DustyJack Thanks for the kind words, looking forward to your next post :)

skids Thanks for the kind words skids. I really need to write another song now:D

I enjoyed much. Glad to see up an scratchin around hoss. I used to listen to Buchanan in younger years, and Roy Gallagher too, great pickers.
I like this tune a lot, it`s a straight shooter from the hip. The drums sound much better. Like I learned as well, the hats and cymbals don't need that much level to peek thru and accent. Nice picking .. Turn that amp up till you can smell it... :)
