hi guys, need opinions from the masters.

has anybody got, tried or considered the;

'ST AUDIO DSP3000 M-PORT'?

if yes, how do rate them compared to other models or why did it not take your fancy?

for those who haven't read up on this model here is a link

http://www.staudio.com/products/dsp3000/index.html

also after you've read the spec, post a reply if you would purchase this or still be tempted by other models and why.

cheers :D

yeah I have read about it and for me it would be a very good option, but for that price you should consider the Aardvark Q10, which has preamps...via software...

Also, the DST2000 would be nice but you'd need a mixer or some sort of preamps...

I have decided to get the Edirol DA 2496 after weeks of reading each interface's features...

i' ve seen the Q10 is $10 cheaper, but the things that stood out for me about the DSP3000 are:

gain control on every channel, XLR and 1/4 jack inputs, TRS inputs on every channel for outboard effects/processors, LED display for monitoring the input/output of each channel,it can be used as a stand alone converter using its ADAT I/O.
