I am going to start the Homerecording.ca thread in The Dragon Cave so that all the Canucks on the board here can post any links to good deals to be had in Canada, price comparisons, duty charges for shipping from the USA, places to avoid for ordering to Canada....

And we should do some more trolling to see if there are more Vancouver Island homereccer's, so that we can have a Homerec Jam session...and Badassmak, you said you were headed out here this summer, drop a line before you show up.

Sorry for the hijack, but, I had to work in Calgary during the stampede (we were redoing the Bay downtown) so we were finishing when everyone was going to work. So many closet cowboys!!

It is unfuckingreal how many cowboyhats magically appear out of nowhere for two weeks, it's kinda scary really. It has to be some masshypnosis governemnt conspiracy or something. I've been here over ten years, and the first five years the only time I ever went was to work tearing it down. The bands are usually pretty good though, like I said. I always wondered what happens in Edmonton for Klondike days, does everyone wear bandanas???

It's the first two weeks of August for sure, maybe more (either before or after). When everythings worked out I'll drop a line for sure. I've got relatives 4 hrs north by boat from Tofino running an oyster farm so that's the main travel itinerary so far.




I saw the thing about Long and McQuade's informal thursday night sessions, but they don't do anything like that here .
