Sounds good, but could it be better?

Since I suggested posting this, as I wanted to hear it, I'll say first off that it'd be much more effective to post a higher quality file than what can be heard on Myspace. It's problematic to discuss sound quality of a file that's been altered in its resolution and freq spectrum balance the way that Myspace does to uploads.

Back later, either way.

I like http://soundcloud.com where you can upload e.g. wav files and they convert it to an ok 128kbit mp3 with a nice widget. Sometimes I use use http://box.net where you can just upload e.g. mp3 files. Yo have control over the bitrate/quality as they don't re-encode. I've seen people use soundclick and other sites. I've found soundcloud very easy to use.

Cheers
Tim

It's not on your myspace page any more. I did have a very short listen to it before - just 30 seconds or so. From that snapshot my initial impression was that the singer could be mic'd more effectively. If you have the vocal as a separate track, EQ and compression could help the vocal in the mixing. But given the type of piece, IMO a well done stereo mic'ing (not close mic'ing) of the ensemble in a good hall would be the best thing. Piano sounded good.

So put up a file. I'd be interested to see if my snapshot listen was accurate at all.:D
