Soundcraft Spirit Analog Mixer in digital rec. environment

Hey Guys

I've been wondering and searching for an analog mixer to plug into a digi 002 rack so i don't have to keep changing the jacks all the time in the back of the 002. On the 002 i'd be using the 8 line-ins (via a patchbay) when doing a live take or a full drum kit. Either way, i'm looking at what analog desk i should go for to run the mics into then direct outs/subs into the interface. I would also use it for monitoring.

I'm really keen on the Soundcraft Spirit M12 mixer as it has direct outs on each channel and they have a good rep from my understanding in both live and studio work. Whats anyones view on this?

Hi,
It's a good choice. I use a Spirit FX8 so I can put it's built in Lexicon reverb in the monitoring for "comfort". Someone said the M series preamps are better, but I don't know any evidence of that.
