Heres the deal....

Well, Ive been messing with my MR-8.....

Lets say im recording guitar....

Ill be monitoring my guitar through some computer speakers that i use as monitors.

My setup is a miced up amp.

And it sounds great. Great tone, great everything.

Then I record, and I playback the recording, and the quality isnt half as good as it sounded when I was just monitoring it, without recording.

I am using the Normal Mode (High Quality), not extended.

So is this how its meant to be? Or am I missing someithing?

What's the deal?

It could be the fact that if you are monitoring with speakers while recording you are getting the bleed from the monitors also. What you are hearing coming out of the monitors is only what is going into the mic. What you are hearing on the recording is what is going into the mic and what is coming out of the monitors. Try monitoring with headphones.

monitoring your guitar through comp. speakers while you play through your amp? why would you do that? Maybe im not understanding correctly. Get back to me. Also tell me what you are using for a mic.

Ive monitored bass/drum tracks through comp. speakers while recording guitar on an amp with a mike...it bleed a little, but didnt affect the sound the guitar.

kdgospel is right, if i understand you correctlly, thats going about things kind of the hardway. Keeping bleed down is essential to a clean recording...

Get some headphones
