I've seen something similar to that before.

I remember seeing an interview with Nuno Bettencourt who was doing some new Extreme recording at home. He had a box with a mic inside, foam on the sides and back, and room for the mic mounted in an shock mount. He was using it for isolation when doing vocal work at home. It was just a simple homemade wooden box, probably a 1ft cube or so. There was no front door. I thought it was an interesting idea.

I see they actually about to start shipping a solid one that weighs 110KG (240 pounds in US speak) six and a half grand in UK money pounds! - THEN I discovered that is isovox, not isobox? I found that on ebay which weighs in at 10 pounds! crafty marketing I think. I have one of Thomanns, bought for a friend - they justdeaden the HF behind a cardioid mic, oh wait! That's already dead?

So you sing, your voice reverberates all around your room, and then it enters the box and hits the mic.
The device Gonzo-X suggests does a reasonable job, I read.
