Hi,
Even I checked out carvin dot com many times, I don't have a clue what `direct/list' means ? (ie list is double the direct price)..
in australia the KORG machine you are talking about is 2495$ and the Yamaha is also 2495$? I personally am not keen on the MD idea.. I think computers are definately the way to go, mainly because they're so expandable, hard disks etc, cd burners (you don't have to get some double the cost burner that only works with a certain unit )
Anyhow, we're a little confused about the whole thing. What I thought would be good though..
A 16 channel mixer, that we could plug everything into, mix down our drums in a subgroup to 1 track that plugs in on a 4 or 8 track (unit or soundcard) recorder.. and we can plug (From the outputs of the mixer - which i think we'll need) the guitars, bass and vocals. etc.
What do you think?
Does the SM162 have an output for each channel?
I mean, as far as plugging into amps etc goes, these units look great.. but what about recording channels individually? We'd rather have the freedom to edit each track ..
Does this make any sense?
Thanks for your time!
