Sound Card

I have thought about going with this for my Studio.

I will be using Pro Tools M-Powered, and the Eleven Rack with a Mackie Onyx mixer.

I will record my instruments through those things then I need the sound card for payback, mixing, etc. But I did hear that that sound card doesn't have a option for 2.1, so I can't use 2.1 then?

It looks like a great card, and it has decent reviews. Think this is a good buy period and for my system?

Go look at digidesign's website for approved soundcards.

ProTools will ONLY work with approved interfaces (they use them as copy-protection dongles....)

If you lock yourself into ProTools, you have to use everything Digidesign-approved.
