Song mixing help

Hey people,

I'm new here and am embarrassed to admit I know pretty much nothing about recording. However, I've had a go anyway and thought maybe some of you may have some advice about things I can do to improve the mix. Like I said all I really know how to use is volume and pan and that's all I've done here, really. Neither of these are completely finished but any thoughts are welcome.

Please ignore the ending of New song III as I haven't thought of anything decent yet.

These were recorded using my Pod HD500, EZ drummer and 4front bass module (I could use a better bass VST actually if anyone can suggest a good one).

Welcome Andy.... like mjp says, post your stuff in the MP3 clinic for real advice... but... sounds nice... bass is a bit indistinct in places but I was liking the tune.. (first one...). You'll get good feedback in the clinic.

And you need 5 posts to post a link, so no-one minds you bantering a bit to get there..
