Cool tune Nakatira. Similar to many good bands, especially Queen, Floyd, Bowie etc. This would be a rock opera in the vinyl years. It's a big shame that this type of music is no longer Top 40. :( I am very impressed by the writing in this piece, so complex but easy to listen to. Comfortable and familiar in style but unique at the same time. I did not know you could play the keyboards.

Although the possibility for changes are there (like more guitars) I don't think they are necessary. The piece is solid in its current format.

I would love to see a YouTube video of you playing this - maybe if you have time you could build one :D.

Truly a great piece Nak.....

Thanks a lot Ido1957.

The structure of the song arrangment-wise is close to complete, the orchestration is not completed yet.
This is more like a first draw, thats why I used Guitar Rig.
I have presented this piece to the guitar player in my band and he loved it.

So I just hope the rest likes it as well, then we have Munchausen-fy it and then we should have something that could be played live.

I really liked the way you described it as complex yet comfertable, that was one of my main goals for this song.
Make it as proggy as I can yet easy to listen to kinda like Bohemian rapsody (not that I ever think my song can compare the quality of that song, but the inspiration is there:) )

I do play keys, but as you heard I keep it very simple, all bass and drums was programmed, all pianos organs and Mellotrons were played by hand.

Thanks a lot for you inpiring words.

You rawk mate:)

If the band aren't into do it with the guitar player & release it to the world as Munchausen-by-Proxy (sorry couldn't resist).
I've been waiting DAYSSSSSSSSS for any sort of update - I guess I'll just have to go & play the download again.
Have you any more vids? I really enjoyed the last one you posted. It's more than putting a face to a username - it's seeing the music being made - magic always.
I'd probably've compared it to the March of the Black Queen m'self.

Were having a break with the band due to some illness.
Hopefully were up and running again after Christmas, and I`ll get to chance to persuade the guys to play the tune.

Not anymore videos at the moment, but I`m pretty certain there will be more, as one of my best friends is a "Video\Photoguy":D

I`m glad you liked watching our previous ones.
I`m also a fan of watching live vids from people I know, gives the songs and extra spin.

March of the black queen, is queen at its greatest, I`m a big fan of the tune.
I`m very influenced by Freddie Mercury, he had sutch class writing songs.

Thanks a bunch man.:)

with simon phillips/billy cobham style double bass drumming at the end

Btw

I feel obligated to post one of my rep points comments.

It was the infamous creature Kramer who posted the following

get with the program bitch. btw- you call this shit progressive? Sounds like fuckin' STYX, except everything is played with shitty sounding MIDI instruments. lay off the drugs hippy- kramer

I just wanted the negative review to be ammong the positive.

I cant help it that Kramer is being a wuzz:D

BTW Kramer is Stone Cold Steve Austins Ant:D

This brought a smile to my face while listening at work during lunch today....to my ears, it totally sounds like the band Camel( was just listening to "Moon Madness", so I may be in that mode right now:p), with a bit of Kahn thrown in (Steve Hillage/Dave Stewart band before Gong).
I applaud your sense of adventure in your compositions ....while maybe not a drop tuned 2 chord sludge fest with cookie monster vocals that seems to be so popular these days, I find this a very intriguing listen. I think it's cool that being so young, you search a bit deeper into the music of the past to develop your sound/style...I love this kinda stuff so I am biased, I admit..... just wanted to give you a big thumbs up and raise my can of cola in salute..great job Nak!!!!

INteresting Camel comparison varqueepy - I bought a comp. CD of theirs just a month ago. Good pick of similarities. You've been listening to your mum's LPs again!

Nak, you should stop writing this modern pop crap and start listening to some stuff from the 70;s...:D :D :D

It's great from beginning to end for me, but I also would like hear more guitars....The keayboard parts are very Genesis, so it doesn't need more guitar all the way through...Just on some of the more dramatic parts. There is a nice Floyd type solo in there, though.

The drums can be a little brighter. I hear the sound you're going for. But they're a little too muffled.

The changes are awesome.

You're good at this stuff, man. I'm glad somebody still is.
