no problems with the bass on my system, and that's with the 'bass enhancement' button on.
guitars sounds great. those lead guitar lines (acoustic and electric) are unbelievably cool. The runs you do on the acoustic in the beginning of the song are sick (i just learned to use that word properly from my neice who's twelve).
One thing on the vocals. And I'm not sure if this will help or not, but like Sabbath said, some of your choices for notes fall outside of the tertian chord underneath it all, which I personally love to hear happen. It might jump out less if there was more support for the oddball. For example, at some points I thought I heard you sing something like a 7th up from where the root of the underlying chord in the song was but there wasn't much support for it underneath so it jumps out, not to mention it's hard to nail a note like that without some audible guide. Don't take that comment too literally, cause I don't have your song at my disposal to really analyze it correctly right here, but that's the idea I had when I listened to it earlier.
I think your girlfriend will like the present. The day I bought my guitar, I serenaded my wife and she instantly forgave me for spending so much money on an instrument that I didn't really know how to play!
