Hello,

I would like some critiquing on this mix that I did for an intro track to my first ever album....Right now i have very few gear...A Marshall MXL 990 Microphone and a Behringer Eurorack UB1202 Mixer/Preamp...From their I go right into my original soundcard on my Dell Computer...i use adobe audition for my mixing...For monitoring I just use my normal computer speakers with sub woofer...I dont have monitors yet.....

This is only the mix and not master so you will have to turn the volume up...

I would like feedback on the mixing please....

Thank You Very Much

The sound is actually pretty good. I've always gotten pretty good tone from my 990 for vox.

sounds pretty cool. I don't really feel qualified to comment on it, since I haven't listened to much rap recently, but I could imagine it as a nice intro track. definately sounds more interesting than most rap mixes, as far as music goes. gun shot could be louder :D

Good luck.

ok you asked for a critique... so I will be honest.

the gunshot needs some bass, I need it to virbrate my rear view when Im cruisin...

the music kicks butt.

the lyrics need work they sound too much like ever other braggin rapper. not too origional soundin. you wanna hear a brag? listen to marshal mathers :)

"my rhymes will make you cry, take you by susprise at the same time, make you dry your eyes with the same line, cause what your seein is a genius at work. which to me isnt work, so its easy to misinterpret it at first. ..."

Are you white? you sound white? Im white too, :) but white rappers have it tough, because it is not as easy for us to get that deep voice and sound all pissed... The vocals mix doesnt got it... I would try using at least 3 vocals tracks, with some panning, they need fattening. they sound very skinny. maybe some eq to the mid low, and mids? hmm.

ok, but really I am not sayin I didnt dig it it is pretty cool!!

Yea im white...Im 16 years old...I started rapping in 2004 with my friends just freestyling for fun and stuff and never took it seriously. It really wasnt until about 6-8 months ago that I really decided I wanted to rap and engineer music for life....So im still a bit new to this game ya know.....But yea thanks for the critiquing people.....On the vocals I did the main vocal and then a 2nd vocal layer which i panned left 25 and right 25 and then Overdubs that I panned 75 left and 75 right.....
